We have been on the Riviera for a month – Training Tour

19 May 2021

Meeting rooms, pens and notebooks, presentations projected onto rhomboid sheets, eyes closing and minds wandering to the beaches, urged on by a pressing spring with its colors and that typical warmth that invites one to breathe in the fresh air and the vacation atmosphere.

Any self-respecting event agency has always lived precariously balanced between the legitimate needs of Training Managers eager to communicate their incredible novelties in a continuous flow of new products, activities, and commercial proposals, and the desires of the participants in the training sessions, not always aligned with the company’s enthusiasm.

However, sometimes the solution to satisfy all parties is as simple as it is effective. We cannot ignore the company’s need to gather hundreds of people in a dreary meeting room of a hotel, but we can transform that meeting room into a corner of a seaside paradise, complete with a beach bar, umbrellas, colorful deck chairs, and a beach. We can’t spare the guests from hundreds of slides narrated in front of an audience that is more or less interested, but we can enrich them with moments of leisure and conviviality, to pair the learning moment with a taste of the much-anticipated vacation.

A TRAINING TOUR IN THE SPIRIT OF SUMMER

Thus, for two months, we brought the Riviera to the main Italian cities.
A training tour in the spirit of the pressing summer, where the fragrances of the client perfectly blended with the scents of sea salt, drinks by the sea, and sand underfoot. Everything was thought out, designed, and realized to immerse the guests in the right atmosphere, from the “sunset-colored” seating to the bamboo stools, from the scenic backdrops with a seaside theme to contextualize the projection screen to the flower necklaces to capture a moment of relaxation with colleagues in a selfie.

Next stop… Maldives?

WHAT TO DO FOR THE SUCCESS OF A TRAINING TOUR

Corporate training is an important element for the success of a company, an engine of development and growth.
Keywords: organization and experiential learning.

There are endless elements to consider for the success of a Training Tour, and they vary depending on the company and the final objective, but some details can help, in any case, to make the tour effective.

CLEARLY DEFINE THE TRAINING OBJECTIVE

Training a team means stimulating it, engaging it, sometimes even overcoming certain resistances, to bring it to a greater understanding of the company’s goals and to make it feel an important part of the company.

EXPERIENTIAL TRAINING

The venue and its setup must be thoughtfully designed to welcome the participant into an engaging experience and immerse them in the right mood. Recreational activities, awards interspersed with corporate training moments, and breaks for relaxation are the main ingredients for the success of an effective training tour.

ORGANIZATION AND PLANNING

What can I say! These are words and concepts that recur practically for all projects and should never be underestimated.

Planning in all details, creating a schedule and a timeline, selecting and coordinating the actors/suppliers for every aspect of the event are just some of the organizational aspects to consider.

Remember: flexibility is the magic word.

In a training tour, changes along the way are inevitable, along with the “last-minute” requests of the client. A real challenge to find “creative” solutions for the optimal success of the event.
